The company has announced that they will now be offering end-to-end encrypted calls to other WhatsApp users on both computer and mobile devices.
Both Mac and PC users will be able to use the new feature via the desktop app.
With many of us working consistently on our laptops and computers, it’s a huge relief to be able to finally use the voice and video call function on WhatsApp’s desktop app.
The social platform promises the same end-to-end encryption on its video/voice calling desktop feature. That means that WhatsApp and Facebook won’t be able to see or hear your calls.
However, there is one downside to the new feature.
The app will only support one-to-one calls, so no group calls just yet.

If you want to start using the new feature, all you have to do is to download the latest version of the desktop app and sign in to your WhatsApp account!
You’ll then be able to see the video or voice call button and you’re good to go!
So what are you waiting for? Time to test out the new feature!
Are you happy that we finally have the video/voice call feature on WhatsApp’s desktop app? Who would be your first call? Let us know!
