Have you ever had your Instagram account hacked and everything removed?
And no matter how hard you try or who you contact, there’s just no way to get back all the posts you’ve worked so hard on?
Well now, Instagram has rolled out a new feature that will let you recover your deleted posts.

The social media platform is now making it easier for users to bring back deleted posts via their new “Recently Deleted” feature.
The feature will allow users to review the content you’ve deleted including photos, videos, reels, IGTV videos, and stories, and restore them.
In an aim to help those whose accounts have been hacked, Instagram has introduced this feature as a helpful means against hacks, particularly if hackers gain control of an account and start deleting content.
The platform has also added on protections to “help prevent hackers from compromising your account and deleting posts you’ve shared.”
However, in order to permanently delete or restore content, users will first need to verify that they are the rightful account holders.
According to Instagram, photos, videos, reels, IGTV videos and stories that have been deleted will be immediately moved to the Recently Deleted folder, and deleted stories that are not in the user’s archive will stay in the folder for up to 24 hours.
All deleted content will only remain in the Recently Deleted folder for up 30 days and it will then be permanently deleted.

Here’s how the feature works:
In the 30 days after your content has been deleted, all you need to do is to go to Settings > Account > Recently Deleted.
From there, users will be able to chose to either to restore or permanently delete their posts.
Of course, you’ll have to update the Instagram app to the latest version first before you can access the new feature.
