The Left 4 Dead game franchise has been one of gamers’ favourite zombie co-op shooter games and they've been waiting years for a sequel… and now, the new Back 4 Blood trailer has been released!
The cinematic and gameplay trailer for the new zombie shooter game Back 4 Blood was recently released and fans immediately realised the similarities between it and the Left 4 Dead games, from gameplay to zombie designs and more.
The trailer shows a group of survivors fighting a horde of zombies when a special spider-like zombie spits something that sticks one of them to the ground, and a colossal zombie with a huge arms appears (Spitter and Charger?)!
Some might think the new game is copying Left 4 Dead but the game is actually developed by the developers behind the original Left 4 Dead, Turtle Rock Studios!
Turtle Rock Studios and Valve have worked together in the past for Counter-Strike and Half-Life games before, Turtle Rock Studios then pitched the zombie survival co-op shooter game and it went on to become gamers’ beloved Left 4 Dead game.
Valve decided to acquire Turtle Rock studios after the success of the game but both studios ended up having difficulties working together and eventually went their separate ways with Valve keeping the rights to Left 4 Dead.
Fans have been waiting for a Left 4 Dead sequel game after Left 4 Dead 2’s release and it looks like Turtle Rock Studios went ahead to create a game that's just what fans have been looking forward to!
The trailer to the new game looks like it’ll offer everything a Left 4 Dead fan has been looking forward to in a sequel game and the survivors even start off in a room just like the original!
Fans are excited to see what the game can offer and many are sharing the trailer with their Left 4 Dead game mates.
Now let’s hope we get a new zombie that’s as scary or scarier than The Witch in the original Left 4 Dead game!
