Technology has evolved to ensure our lives run smoother every single day. However, are we really making full use of that gadget we hold on in our hands all the time?

Your smartphone is much smarter than you give it credit for. No, for real, your phone has loads of functions you’re either not using or not aware of.

Well, here a few things you can start doing to make life easier and smoother:

#1 Use auto replace for your address

Typing the same thing—like your mailing address—multiple times is annoying. To fix this, use text replace or text shortcuts to automatically fill it up for you. Just go to your settings, find the auto replace text function and place in a codeword for your address, such as ‘addyfull’

So next time someone asks for it, just type ‘addyfull’ and the phone will automatically change it to your full address.

Note: This defers according to your phone’s OS. We found ours under the ‘Language and Input’ >> ‘Keyboard’ >> ‘Smart Typing’.

#2 Make full use of the low battery mode

Your phone has a setting to help you lower power usage once it hits a certain percentage. Depending on your model, you can set it to whichever amount you like, or it might be a fixed number.

However, once you’ve set it up, it can help conserve your battery from going kosong!

#3 Blue light filter to protect them corneas

Blue light rays are harmful to your eyes and they’re particularly bad at night or in the dark… which is why experts always tell you not to use your phone in dark places. But we’re all stubborn hoomans.

So, use the blue light filter to remove those harmful rays from burning into your eyes.

#4 Get this… you can arrange your apps in folders!

It’s shocking how many people actually don’t know this, or don’t bother to use it. But it’s super convenient because you can easily categorise everything and find them quite easily. If you wanna go the extra step, you can even arrange the folders alphabetically.

#5 Search for your apps

Ok, if you die die don’t wanna create folders for your apps, at least know that you can use the search bar to find whatever you need, rather than scroll through 10 different pages of apps.

#6 Some phones have a ‘device care’ function

In some brands and models, you can search for a function to help maintain your phone in the settings. Here, you can monitor your battery usage, close background apps, clear cache, manage its security (malware detection), and more.

By maintaining your phone regularly, it can help it last longer and lessen the chances of your software going haywire.
