Our parents and grandparents, a.k.a. Boomers, aren’t always the most tech-savvy people, especially since technology keeps evolving on a weekly basis!

It gets a bit hard for them to catch up sometimes and we, the young’uns, are expected to teach them all the time. It can get pretty frustrating at times, but more often than not, it’s just hilarious.

Here are some moments all of you have probably experienced with your parents, grandparents or even uncles and aunties:

P.S. read on to get some free smartphones and unlimited internet!

#1 We see either their ears, the floor or the ceiling during video calls

They don’t really know how to switch between the front and back cameras, or they’re not used to pointing the cameras at their faces.

#2 ALWAYS TYPING IN ALL CAPS

WE DON’T KNOW HOW, BUT THEIR CAPS LOCK BUTTON SEEMS TO BE ON 24/7.

#3 Every technological error is your fault

Even if it’s something out of your control, as long as something is wrong with the gadget or the Internet, it’s somehow caused by you. Sigh.

#4 Smacking the remotes like they smacked you when you were a kid

Ironically, they also used the remote controller to hit you. Now it’s just the remote getting the beating.

#5 Misusing emojis in the most awkward ways…

How do you explain to your parents that 💀 is a laughing emoji?!

#6 Forwarding WhatsApp messages without fact checking

Sometimes, they share really important and factually correct news, but then there are also times when they spread those silly rumours without checking the accuracy of the details.

#7 Daily ‘Good Morning’ messages

Every morning, you can expect to receive a brand-new image with the words ‘Good Morning’ plastered on it. How do they not run out of new ones?!

#8 Making you download whatever game they are playing to send lives

Your phone is already filled with apps that you don’t even use, like Candy Crush, Pokemon Go, Toy Blast and more, but you open it every now and then to send them lives or help them achieve some daily goal.

#9 They expect you to know their passwords

Whenever they can’t log in to their Facebook or emails because they forgot their password, they get annoyed at you for not knowing it.

#10 Blasting their YouTube videos or TV shows at MAX VOLUME

It’s really migraine-inducing too, when they turn up sounds with low audio quality, making the speakers crack like crazy.

Despite all these silly things they do, we still love them anyways. Besides, tech like smartphones has helped us stay connected, especially for those of you who live apart from them.

So, why not stay connected with your loved ones with FREE phones and Unlimited Internet? Get all that and more with the Celcom MEGA™ Family Line, where you can get the best value family plan at only RM40/month.
