As a 12-year-old Malaysian, the most nerve-wrecking time of our lives was definitely sitting for the UPSR exam and collecting the results afterwards.

And while many of us have our parents, families and loved ones around while we collect our results for support, not everyone is as lucky, just like this young girl from Penang.

Last week, the UPSR results were ready to be collected and unfortunately for this girl, she was missing her mother by her side to see her achievement of obtaining straight A’s.

A viral post on Facebook shows the 12-year-old crying at her mother’s grave as she reads out her UPSR results that’s in her hands.

The heartbreaking scene was uploaded by the girl’s grandmother whom she lives with.

Reportedly, the girl’s mother had passed away during her early childhood days and thus, was not around to see her succeed in her UPSR exams.

Some ninjas are definitely chopping onions here cause we’re totally not crying. Totally.

We’re super proud of this girl’s achievements!

Who was with you when you collected your exam results? Share this with them and give them a hug too!
