What’s not to like about a pool filled with balls that you can ‘dive’ and play around in? It’s the fun stuff that childhoods are made of! However, as in the case of one Singaporean, ball pits can turn out to be dangerous too!

The 172cm woman almost ‘drowned’ while spending time in a suspended net ball pit located in Air Zone, a unique playground of sorts located at City Square Mall in Singapore.
While going about the activities, she accidentally fell into the ball pit and was unable to get a stable footing and stand up, causing her to ‘drown’ in the sea of balls.
You can see her struggling to stay above the balls and shouting for help. Fortunately, she managed to grab onto someone’s help and stabilise herself. Apparently, several other children got trapped in a similar fashion too.
Upon learning about this news, Air Zone contacted her to address the safety of the ball pit, to which she responded to.
Clearing the air about the severity of the situation, the woman’s husband also threw in a joke about the ball pit being the best place to go to if you “want to experience what it feels like to drown in a safe manner”.
While we’re happy all is good, it doesn’t hurt to be careful and to not be too carried away when having fun. So, have you experienced something similar? Tell us!
