At two-years-old, most of us were just learning how to say our ABCs and basic words but one two-year-old is putting us to shame as she recently became the youngest person in the USA to be admitted into Mensa.
Yes, Mensa, the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world.

With an IQ score of 146, Kashe Quest is leaps and bounds ahead of her peers (and many of us).
The toddler from Los Angeles can already identify all 50 states of the United States by both shape and location on a map.
According to KTTV, she can also count to 100, name elements on the periodic table by their symbols and identify and use 50 signs in sign language.
On top of that, Kashe is also learning to read English and to speak Spanish!
The new Mensa member’s mother, Sukhjit Athwal said that she noticed that Kashe was very mentally developed and struggled to find a daycare that could foster her talent.
The toddler’s mother then decided to get her to take an IQ test and was shocked to find that Kashe managed to score extremely high with 146.
Just so you know, the average American IQ is 100 and the entrance level for Mensa is scoring in the top two percent of the population after taking the Stanford-Binet or Cattell tests.
Those who score between 145 and 160 on the Standford-Binet tests are considered a genius or near-genius, while the top two percent of the population score between 132 and 148 on the Cattell test.

“We started to notice her memory was really great,” Sukhjit noted about her toddler. “She just picked up things really fast and she was really interested in learning.”
“At about 17, 18 months, she had recognized all the alphabet, numbers, colours, and shapes.”
Though Kashe may be in the same group as some of the smartest people in the world, her mum shared that she is still very much a toddler.
“At the end of the day, she’s in that toddler stage,” she said. “So she very much is still a normal two-year-old where we have negotiations, we have tantrums, we have everything and it’s different because the way we communicate with her, it has to be different because she’s able to understand just a little bit more.”
“I think one of the biggest things with me and [my] daughter [is] making sure she has a childhood and we don’t force anything on her,” she added. “We’re kind of going at her pace and we want to just make sure that she is youthful for as long as she can be.”

With her high IQ score, Kashe is now officially the youngest American member of Mensa and has surpassed the record of UK-based Malaysian Muhammad Haryz Nadzim, who joined Mensa at two-years-old with an IQ of 142.
“Kashe is certainly a remarkable addition to American Mensa,” Trevor Mitchell, executive director of American Mensa said. “We are proud to have her and to be able to help her and her parents with the unique challenges that gifted youth encounter.”
Congratulations Kashe!
We’re definitely excited to her grow into her full potential!
