From a three-day Dota tournament to Malaysia’s biggest bicycle festival to the 29th SEA Games, 2017 was jam-packed with events that not only entertained but made the entire country proud. But 2017 was more than just a year for great sporting events, it was also a great year for music lovers and concertgoers in Malaysia.
Here’s a #MYThrowbaek2017 to the top 5 music events of last year… because it never hurts to relive these great moments.

Held on the 18th of March 2017 at Stadium Merdeka, EXO’s Exor’dium World Tour in Kuala Lumpur was perhaps one of best things to happen to KPop fans in Malaysia. Despite the rain, both fans and the band were giving off plenty of positive energy. Each member of EXO even took some time to greet and talk to fans!
#2 Fifth Harmony The 7/27 Tour

It may have been their first show in Malaysia, but it’s one that we think Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui will remember forever as fans numbering in the thousands sang, danced, and cheered along to 90 minutes of incredible vocals and stunning showmanship at Sunway Lagoon’s Surf Beach on the 7th of April 2017.
#3 Good Vibes Festival 2017

Perhaps the biggest music festival to grace our lands in 2017, the Good Vibes Festival 2017 held on the 12th and 13th of August 2017 at Genting Highlands featured a ridiculous amount of international and local performers ranging from G-Easy, Dua Lipa, Phoenix, and Kodaline to Talitha Tan, DJ Aku Ash, and more.
#4 Ed Sheeran Live in Malaysia 2017

After breaking his arm in a cycling accident, there were talks that perhaps this highly anticipated concert by Ed Sheeran would have to be cancelled. Thankfully, he made a speedy recovery and on the 14th of November 2017 wowed a sold-out crowd with his amazing performance of hits such as “The A-Team”, “Thinking Out Loud”, and “Shape Of You” at the Axiata Arena.
#5 Hatsune Miku Expo 2017

“A Japanese music sensation”, “unique voice”, and “prodigious energy”; these are just a few ways Hatsune Miku has been described. But what makes her, and her performance so unique is that she is a virtual persona that uses a computer-generated voice and 3D graphics to perform on stage.
