Good news for road-trippers—commuters will get a 50% discount on tolls this Friday (March 28) and Saturday (March 29) in celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri!

50% off tolls this weekend for hari raya—here’s what you need to know

Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi confirmed that the Cabinet greenlit the discount, which will cost the government RM19.69 million in compensation to toll concessionaires. The discount applies exclusively to Class 1 private vehicles at all toll plazas, except for:

  • Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) Toll on the North-South Expressway (PLUS)

  • Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza on the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link Expressway (Linkedua)

This initiative is part of the Madani government’s festive toll relief program, which aims to ease financial burdens and improve travel experiences during major holiday seasons.

With a long holiday ahead, expect highways to be extra packed. Minister Nanta Linggi advised drivers to follow travel time recommendations, ensure their vehicles are in good condition, and check their eWallet or Touch 'n Go balance before hitting the road.

For real-time highway updates, commuters can use:

📞 LLM Traffic Management Center at 1-800-88-7752
📱 LLM’s official social media on Facebook (Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia) and X (@LLMtrafik)

The Works Ministry, LLM, and highway concession companies also urge drivers to stay safe, obey traffic rules, and take breaks when needed. After all, getting to your destination safely is the real priority!

So, if you’re heading back to your hometown or just taking a Raya road trip, make the most of this discount and drive smart!
