We know our parents love us, but, we gotta admit that they can be slightly overwhelming when they are being protective.
Here are some things that you can relate to growing up with protective parents…
- They NEED to know the names of the people you’re going out with
Your mom will make sure to get the names of all your friends that you’re going out with. No name = No go!

2. If you’re going out with your “friend” of the opposite sex…
Don’t get us started. Going out with a “friend” of the opposite sex is considered as going on a date in their eyes. It’s a big fat no to that!

3. You have to be an extra good kid to increase the chances of them saying yes
You know you need to get on their good side to get the green light from them. All you need to do is listen to every instruction they give you and make sure to get them all done.

4. Miss calls from your mom or dad = DEATH
You know you’re DOOMED if you miss even a single call from them.

5. Constantly reminding you of things
“Make sure to drink water”, “Don’t simply talk to strangers”, “Make sure to be home by 8”. If you can name them, they’ve reminded you of them.

6. Spontaneous plans with your friends will never happen
In order to get approval from your parents, you need to tell them your plans WAY in advance. Spontaneous plans? Forget it.
