Worst of all, you might end up giving the item back to the one who gave it to you in the first place! It can create a super awkward moment…
#3 Giving someone random gift cards
Sometimes, you get really stuck on what item to give someone and think that gift cards are just easier. It’s true, but make sure you give one from a brand they like!
Nothing feels worse than receiving something they have no use for. In the end, they’ll just regift it to someone else.
#4 Buying gifts at the very last minute
Shopping malls get really crowded as it gets closer to Christmas and online shopping takes time for them to deliver the goods to you.
Even if you don’t mind the crowds and there’s next-day shipping, you’ll feel extremely rushed to get everything. In the end, you might just forget a few gifts here and there, and end up gifting the ‘forgotten people’ with unnecessary stuff.
#5 Getting stuff that’s way over your budget
We get that you wanna buy something really nice for your loved ones but there’s no point in making yourself broke. There are always cheaper versions, or just choose something within your budget!
In fact, the smartest way to shop is to make a budget for your holiday shopping, list down everything you need to get, then check out the prices before making a purchase.
#6 Not checking out for promos before buying the gifts
