Fans will know that
Constantine comic has previously received its own movie starring Keanu Reeves, and a series starring Matt Ryan that was sadly cancelled in 2015 due to low ratings.
But now, we’re about to get more from the demon hunter and former con artist who turned his attention to sending dark, supernatural beings back to their own realms.
Star Wars, Star Trek and
Lost’s JJ Abrams is set to direct the upcoming series which will be written by Guy Bolton.

According to
Deadline, the series will see Constantine returning in the form of a young Londoner from a diverse background.
A source shared with
The Illuminerdi that the reboot series would be a darker reinvention of the character and “will be less focused on religion, and more focused on the horror elements from the
Constantine comics.”
Details about the upcoming series are scarce but it’s been reported that it will most likely tie into the
Justice League Dark series that is also currently in development from JJ Abram’s Bad Robot.
As of now, the series is searching for the perfect Constantine to take on the role but fans of course have their own suggestions on who should become the new Constantine.
We’re excited to see how JJ Abrams will portray the demon hunter!
Who do you think will be perfect for the role of Constantine? Let us know!
