Blink and you’ll miss it.
The final season of Game of Thrones is taking forever to reach us, but you can finally catch a glimpse (literally) of what’s in store. HBO just released their 2019 teaser over the weekend. The teaser features snippets from other series on HBO as well, but it gives GoT fans a tiny clip from a brand new scene featuring Jon Snow and Sansa Stark.
Did you catch it? Jon Snow reuniting with Sansa Stark—it should be monumental, but instead, it looks like it’s laced with doom as Jon hugs a haunted-looking Sansa.
The rest of the teaser has many memorable moments of the series from Season Seven. In fact, the entire trailer kicks off with Cercei asking Tyrion, “Shall we begin?”.
GoT is expected to return to our TV screens by early 2019. Unfortunately, an exact date has yet to be mentioned. Previously, HBO would air the series in March or April, but it appears that fans will have to wait until at least May to watch the suspenseful TV series. Joe Bauer, the visual effects supervisor for the show, revealed that the crew has just started working on the Emmy-nominated series: “We’re going to be toiling away on Season Eight until May of 2019.”

Season Seven premiered on HBO on 17 July 2017 with seven episodes, three episodes short of its usual format. The eighth and final season of GoT is reported to only have six episodes.
