A Series Based On ‘Parasite’ Is Currently In The Works And Fans Are Not Happy

The Golden Globe winner for Best Foreign Film is about to become a series!

That’s right, a limited series based on Parasite is currently in the works but it may not be what you’re hoping for.

Variety confirmed that the critically acclaimed South Korean movie is currently in the works over at HBO where the movie’s director Boon Joon Ho and The Big Short’s director Adam McKay, are in talks to executive produce the series.

However, it is still unclear if the series will be a direct English language remake of the movie or a spin-off of the original.

For those who have yet to watch the movie that’s considered a potential frontrunner for Best Picture at the Oscars; Parasite “tells the story of the poor Kim family who, one by one, infiltrates the domestic lives of the wealthy Park family.” But of course, things take a twisted and sinister turn.

Fans of the movie however are not on board for an English-language remake or a spin-off of the series. Many are protesting the upcoming series and saying that the original should be left alone.

No!!! Why are they doing this?! There is no need to remake parasite. Ugh
