Artist Creates Hyper-realistic Cat Backpacks That’s Causing Heads To Turn

Calling all cat lovers! We’ve found the purr-fect backpack for you and this one looks so real, you’ll have people around you wondering if you’re actually wearing a real cat as a backpack!

Japanese artist Pico Miho is making heads turn with her creation of adorable and life-like cat bags that you can carry everywhere, put in all your belongings, and even cuddle with when all you need is a hug.

The mother-of-two first started making these unique and hyper-realistic handbags a few years ago. The feline handbags are all made by hand and are the same size as a real-life cat.

Each adorable feline bag is made out of 78 parts and it takes Pico a lot of time and effort to craft them individually.

The wool-felt cat backpack comes with a zipper that leads to an internal compartments that’s well hidden in its fur as well as leather straps and metal hoops that can be used to attach straps at the back.

“I’ve always loved cute cats since I was a kid and always worked with stuffed animals everywhere,” the Fukui-based artist shared with Bored Panda. “I wanted a ‘stuffed cat’ that I could take outside even as an adult.”

“But a cute plush is embarrassing… so I made it in a way that looks real and has a reason for one to carry it around,” she said.

Pico’s incredible work and attention to detail has gone viral with many saying that they too want a cat backpack!

Unfortunately, due to high demand and the amount of work that goes into creating these hyper-realistic backpack, the Japanese artist has had to stop taking new orders.

“I’m very happy to have many people praise the work,” a post said. “Right now, we are making the orders we recruited last year. Thank you for your understanding.”

We’re sad that we can’t order our own cat backpack for now but hopefully the store will be able to take new orders soon! We’d take 100 of these if we could!

Have you ever seen a backpack that’s as realistic as these ones? Would you get one too if you could? Let us know!
