It has been exactly one week since the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in cinemas near you. If you care at all about the movie franchise, then there's no doubt that you would have seen it… perhaps seen it 3 times.
On our part, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the second instalment in Rian Johnson’s – he is the writer-director, by the way – trilogy and simply CANNOT wait for the next movie. Although, we did walk out of the cinema with loads of questions, like… who the heck is Snoke?!

But, even as our list of questions about the characters and events of the movie grew, we’re thankful that one unlikely question can be put to rest.
The question… in question (what?) is the real identity of BB-8, you know the ball-like orange and white droid that belongs to Poe Dameron? Turns out, the little thing is a Gundam!

What a surprising turn of events! Looks can indeed be deceiving! Although, now that we think about it, the Gundam series had a robot called the RB-79 Ball, so maybe it’s not so surprising that BB-8 is a Gundam.

In case you’re wondering, we didn’t just make this up. In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we see a scene that shows an informant, who’s just spotted BB-8, speaking into a communicator in an alien language. In the alien language, she clearly mentions the word “Gundam”. Hear it for yourself!
