There has been so much going on since the COVID-19 aka coronavirus started making its way around.
The public have been taking much precaution with the spread of the virus by wearing face masks and snapping up hand sanitizers, and it looks like this cat is doing just the same!

A cat in China was recently pictured with a makeshift facemask placed on its face in an attempt to protect it from the COVID-19.
All over the internet, pictures of the feline staring through two eye holes that have been cut out from a human-sized surgical mask by its owner, has had everyone in giggles.

While the pictures are definitely amusing to many, it’s important to note that a facemask does not in fact serve any function to the cat.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), there has been no evidence that animals can be infected with the virus.
While we’re glad that the kitty is safe from the virus and we feel bad that it has to have a mask on its face, we can’t help but to laugh along with all the Twitterverse users who find this situation hilarious! Some have even taken to sharing pictures of their pets with masks on.
Your kitties and doggos may not be affected by the COVID-19, but please be sure to keep your hooman selves safe and protected!
