Who doesn’t love a round of arm-wrestling right? A chance to show off your muscles while proving that you’re the best/strongest arm-wrestler around!

This college student however learnt that a simple game of arm-wrestling could go very, very wrong.

A 21-year-old student from the Jiangsu city of Changzhou, recently ended up in the hospital after an arm-wrestling contest with a broken and bruised arm!

The student, surnamed Xu, was locked in a contest with a college friend when he heard a “clicking” sound and was suddenly unable to move his hand. He was then taken to the hospital.

At the hospital, doctors took an X-ray of his severely bruised arm and found that Xu’s humerus – the bone connecting the shoulder and elbow, had fractured in two places!

According to a doctor who spoke to reporters afterwards, the injury was surprising as Xu is young and his bones were strong. Maybe his friend was a lot stronger than they both thought?

We must admit, the injury looks really painful and we can only imagine the pain Xu went through after the arm-wrestling match.

Arm-wrestling may be fun, but let’s not go too overboard! If you feel pain, it’s really okay to let go! Better a lost than a broken arm, right?

Have you ever been a part of an intense arm-wrestling match?
