Now, another football player has also tested positive for the virus and it’s non-other than Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

The footballer was due to feature for Portugal’s upcoming Nations League Group C match against Sweden.

The Juventus star has been released by the national side and must now self-isolate.

Before you get too worried, the Portuguese football federation has shared that Cristiano is asymptomatic and in good health.

“Cristiano Ronaldo was released from the National Team after a positive test for COVID-19, so he will not face Sweden,” Portugal’s FPF said.

The football star is the only member of the Portugal squad that has tested positive for the virus and must miss the Sweden game.
