As the world spends their time indoors to help stop the spread of COVID-19, it’s a little harder to find love at this time but Jeremy Cohen was one of the lucky ones who did, and he did it all without stepping outside his home!
Now, before you start thinking about Jeremy using some dating app to find his other half, he didn’t.
It turns out, all the freelance photographer needed was a drone!

From across the street, Jeremy had a noticed a woman dancing on her rooftop and she had captured his attention so much, he wanted to ask her out.
But as New York City residents are currently attempting to practice social distancing to help curb the virus, Jeremy had no way of making contact with the mystery woman.
He decided to get creative and he flew a drone to her roof, with his number attached!
“Flirting was normally daunting for me,” Jeremy said in the video. “But since I’ve been quarantining in my apartment for a week now, I was craving some social interaction. 2020 has been off to a terrible start, but I still needed to shoot my shot.”
“I’ve been working on a photo series where I document people on their roofs because, during this time, a lot of people are going up to their roofs way more frequently than they have before,” he told Insider.
That’s when the mystery woman caught his attention.
“It was the first time I saw someone dancing on the roof,” he said. “She just kept dancing and I was just attracted to her energy.”
And luckily for Jeremy, he received a text message from the mystery dancer whose name is Tory Cignarella.

But their love story doesn’t end there!
After texting for a couple of days, Jeremy asked Tory if she’d be willing to go on a date with him, but of course, with the quarantine in place, that was a little tricky.
He worked with Tory’s roommate to help set up a surprise romantic video call date complete with dinner!
“It’s very Gen Z,” he said. “I Venmo’ed her roommate for everything she did, because I wanted to treat her to dinner.”
“She came up, and then we both enjoyed our dinners together from roof to roof while we FaceTimed.”

The couple eventually met face-to-face but of course, with the quarantine, Jeremy had to come up with a non-conventional way of meeting.
To finally meet his mystery dancer, Jeremy decided to do so inside a giant inflatable bubble!
He rolled across the street, equipped with a bouquet of flowers in hand, and met Tory for the first time. Tory was ready to meet him with plastic gloves on and together, the two walked down the streets of Brooklyn, side by side.
Jeremy hopes to be able to take Tory out on a real date when the quarantine period is over.
If you’re wondering how Jeremy and Tory are doing right now, he noted that the two are still talking to each other.
“She’s just a very kind person and cute. So we’ll see where it goes,” he said. “If this doesn’t work out, which also is a possibility, I’m sure we will be close in some way, just because she’s so cool and chill, and we’ve had this crazy experience together.”
We’re definitely rooting for Jeremy and Tory’s relationship to work out!
