Sometimes, expectations are bad in a relationship because they lead to disappointments and heartbreaks… but this is probably the first time someone got slapped 52 times for it.

The 20th of May, also known as 520, is the Chinese Valentine’s Day celebration and is also the day that this man will definitely never forget after his girlfriend slapped him at least 52 times in public because he didn’t buy her a new smartphone!

Videos online show the girlfriend continuously shouting and slapping the guy across the face, leaving the crowd shocked as they gathered around the couple.

The boyfriend apparently tried to protect the girlfriend after the humiliating incident when the police arrived to calm the couple down and take them away.

He later explained that it was his mistake for not buying her what she wanted and that she is paying for most of his expenses (explains why he’s just standing there while being slapped across the face).

The couple vowed to solve their personal matter in a more civilized manner in the future after the police calmed them down.

What would you have done in this situation or if you witness it? Tell us!
