Have you ever had your mum, dad or family member threaten to call the police when you refuse to do something? Especially waking up in the morning for school? We sure have. That shout of “I call the police to take you away, then you know’ still rings in our ears and we’re sure you know it well too.
This grandma however actually made that threat a reality.

Recently in Thailand, a grandmother from Udon Thani province needed help with a unique problem and she contacted the police to help her out.
Her problem? Her grandson refused to wake up for school to take his exams.

This hilarious problem was shared recently on the Thailand Police Story’s Facebook page and we couldn’t help but to feel for the grandma who had no one else to turn to for help. Luckily for her, the Thai police are ever ready for service.
The post read:
“A grandmother tearfully walked up to Pol. Snr. Sgt. Maj. Suwet Srisook and Pol. Snr. Sgt. Maj. Jadet Petchwichit who were on duty today. She asked them to help persuade her grandson, who is in Grade 9, to take his exams.”
The post continued to note that the boy was fast asleep when the two police officers walked into the house.
The officers were able to wake the boy up and knock some sense into him, telling him how important it is to have an education.

Eventually, the boy managed to drag himself out of bed, got dressed and got ready for school.

To ensure that the boy got to school, one of the officers even escorted the boy to school on his motorcycle!

Netizens were overwhelmed to see the care that went into ensuring that the boy received an education by both his grandmother and the police officers.
One user commented and said, “They are truly people who do everything for us. We need more cops like this.”
Another user commented saying, “The policemen have won my heart. Young man, you’ll see how important education is. Take it from someone who has screwed it up before.”
“One day, you will understand why the police and your grandma did that,” commented another user.

Education is really important for everyone, and if you’re lucky enough to be able to get an education, be sure to appreciate it. We know it’s tough to wake up in the mornings (we love our sleep too) but sometimes it’s worth waking up, especially if your grandma’s threatening to call the police.
What do you think about this situation? Do you know someone who hates waking up for school too?
