A bunch of women named Nicole at the University of Calgary have formed beautiful friendships, and it’s all thanks to a guy named Carlos Zetina!

Carlos had met a woman from Holland named Nicole, and when she gave him her number, it turned out to be the wrong one (on purpose?).

That's when a brilliant idea struck Carlos, who then decided to find every single Nicole in University of Calgary's directory, and emailed all 246 of them.

His email read: "Hi, this is a mass email to all Nicoles, if you don't fit this description then ignore and if you are the one and just don't want to talk to me, that's okay as well. If [your] name is Nicole and you're from Holland and you think Nietzsche is depressing then text me."

Carlos didn't just email all the Nicoles, he also included the Nicolettes and Nickies and pretty much any variation of Nicole. Even faculty and associate deans ended up on the list!

Nicole Maseja, an employee of the University of Calgary, spoke to BuzzFeed News about the email, "At first I was pretty confused and didn't know what it was. Pretty soon after that, some Nicoles started replying to each other."

Jokes like "Should we all say we're the real Nicole?" and "Will the real Nicole please stand up?" were thrown around.

The Nicoles decided to get together and a bunch of them met up that night. They now have a "Nicole From Last Night" group on Facebook!

"Before this I didn't really know any Nicoles but when I met people yesterday, we're all from different faculties, but we all have similar personalities and we all kind of clicked," said Nicole Manaog, a communications student that also received the email. "We joked that we should have a Nicole network within the university."

So, what happened to the real Nicole that Carlos was looking for?

Well, "some of the Nicoles were concerned that the Nicole that Carlos was looking for gave the wrong number on purpose, but thanks to the new Nicole network, the truth came out," reported BuzzFeed.

It turns out that the real Nicole was in the university on exchange and hadn’t memorised her Canadian number correctly. She was also NOT a recipient of the mass email as she didn’t have a university email.

But thanks to "the powerful network of Nicoles", she managed to find Carlos.

It's a happy ending for everyone because Carlos found his Nicole, and all the other Nicoles are now great friends!
