It must have been a relief for Christine Marr, the owner of a poor cat named Ringer, who managed to survive for two months under the wreckage of a house that burned down.
Ringer must have been a such a strong little guy to manage to hold on for that long, surviving on what Marr assumed must have been a mixture of small bugs and whatever else he could get his paws on down there.
But what makes this story extra heart-warming is how little Ringer was rescued. It was all thanks to the help of Ringer’s buddy, Marr’s pet dog Chloe.
In Marr’s Facebook post about the incident, she recalled that she made a spontaneous trip back to the spot where her house burned down, at which point Chloe began “digging and scratching at the floor”. They heard a cat meowing and used some food to “coax it out”.
Low and behold, it was Ringer! Chloe had finally gotten her friend back.

Ringer is expected to make a full recovery, we’re glad to hear.
The story wouldn’t feel complete without a happy ending!
