Teachers are the backbone of our country because they are the ones educating all of you, the future of our country. Love them or not, many teachers have sacrificed their time and poured in extra effort into ensuring we are all taught well.

So, this Teachers’ Day, let’s show your fave teacher some love by nominating them for the Remarkable Impact in Student Education (RISE) Educator Award, where you, too, can win some prizes.

The winning teacher will get RM2,000 while whoever nominated the teacher will receive RM500.

Thanks to Taylor’s College’s collaboration with The Risers, the RISE Educator Award was launched to celebrate and appreciate all the teachers who made an impact in our lives.

If you want to nominate the teacher, you must do so between 1 to 23 April 2021, and you must be the student or parent of the student to be eligible to nominate the teacher of any preschool, primary school or secondary school.

In 100 words of less, describe how the teacher has impacted you or your kids’ lives. Five finalists will have their entries posted up on Taylor’s College social media platforms and the winner will be decided by public votes.

Josephine Tan, Taylor’s College Campus Director, told the press,

“Teaching is a tough job, and the pandemic made it a whole lot tougher! Despite that, we have heard of teachers who persevered, overcame, stepped up their game and went the extra mile for their students.”

“For your countless hours of effort and dedication, and the little acts of compassion and kindness—we want to say to those teachers, we see you. We want this Award to be an avenue where not only students, but also parents, take the time to let teachers know that they are doing a wonderful job.”
