Cora the Corgi was at the airport with her human, Madison Palm, when suddenly, Cora snuck over to another traveller sitting alone and stood at his feet while he fondly stroked her.

At first, Madison thought Cora was bothering the stranger. But when she went over to get Cora, the stranger told her with a sombre face and watery eyes that his dog had died the night before.

Cora continued to comfort the man, who scratched her behind her ears, patted her on the back and complimented her for being cute. He also took a photograph of her.

Despite Cora’s soft demeanour, she didn’t have a happy and loving past.

Cora is actually a rescue dog. She was rescued from a breeder when she was 8. The breeder used her to pump out 15 litters of puppies, which were then put up for sale.

When the puppies she gave birth to weren’t healthy anymore, the breeder decided to let her go because she was no longer useful to him.

Madison originally fostered her, but then decided to adopt her when she fell in love with the corgi’s sweet nature. Talking about Cora, Madison said “She knows who is hurting and she knows who needs her.”

Who knew a dog that was unloved for 7 and a half years could have so much love to give?
