Eddie Redmayne, Jason Momoa and Jennifer Lopez. You’ve heard of these three stars before—they’re iconic! And if you haven’t—are you sure we’re from the same planet? 😉
If you missed seeing them on the big screen, we’ve got some news for you. Their respective movies: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (starring Redmayne), Second Act (starring Lopez) and Aquaman (starring Momoa) are all available to be streamed this December on HBO GO.
Now, read on and you’ll be putting these movies in your must-watch list this holiday season.
Aquaman (Starts Streaming from 21 December)
Momoa got everyone swooning when he played the barbaric and complex Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones. Afterwards, he took on the role of Aquaman for the first time in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

This time, the superhero gets his own origin movie, Aquaman, which sees him on a journey that’ll make him face his identity and discover if he’s worthy to be king. Starring alongside him is Amber Heard, looking fiery with her red hair, Willem Dafoe and Patrick Wilson.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (Now Streaming)
Potterheads and new fans will enjoy the sequel to the wildly popular Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The story continues for Newt Scamander, played by Redmayne. Dark wizard Grindelwald has escaped and plans to rule over non-magical beings, and it’s up to Scamander to save the day.

Redmayne shines in the movie as the often awkward but lovable Scamander, and this comes as no surprise—the actor has always been flexible with his roles. From playing legendary scientist Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything, a student revolutionary in Les Misérables and complicated painter in The Danish Girl, Redmayne has proven to be flexible with his roles. And he has an Oscar to prove his skills!
Second Act (Starts Streaming from 7 December)
First off—if you don’t know who JLo is, it’s time to get acquainted with Jenny from the block:
JLo’s been gracing our screens and blessing our ears since the 1990s. At 50, she shows no signs of stopping. And it looks like she’s starting to embrace mature roles too.
Second Act sees her playing a 40-year-old woman struggling with trying to achieve more in her life, getting passed over for promotions because she doesn’t have a college degree—until she gets a chance to make a comeback.
