Back in 2016, OlaBola hit Malaysian cinemas. This uplifting tale about the rise of the Malaysian national football team captured hearts nationwide, and the movie amassed an impressive RM16.5 million during its run at the box office.
Now, the tale is set to make the leap from the screen to the stage. OlaBola The Musical will be premiering at the freshly-renovated Istana Budaya from 22 February 2018 to 22 March 2018.

This musical adaptation was produced by Enfiniti, the people behind Puteri Gunung Ledang and P. Ramlee The Musical. Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina, the founder of Enfiniti, directed the musical.
“Watching OlaBola in the cinema evoked emotions and carried a strong message that I felt needed to be experienced ‘live’,” she said in an interview with Vision KL.
“The vision we have for this production will truly immerse the audience like never before, which I believe will rally the nation to unite once again for OlaBola.”
