When planning a huge and important event like a wedding, there must always be preparations for the worst. From a broken down wedding car to a wardrobe malfunction, anything could go wrong.

One groom however almost married the wrong person when he ended up at the wrong wedding ceremony thanks to some incorrect directions!

A man from Indonesia was recently caught in a predicament after his Google Maps app sent him to the wrong wedding.

Instead of arriving at his own wedding ceremony, the navigation app led to a different wedding that was held in the same village.

According to Tribunnews, that weekend played host to two celebrations, a wedding and an engagement, so the app’s confusion shouldn’t be fully blamed.

To make matters worse, the man was not alone when he turned up at the wrong house. He was escorted by his family and friends - who made up his wedding party, and they had brought along gifts for the ceremony.

Ulfa – the 27-year-old bride whose wedding was crashed, shared that she was initially unaware that the man had entered the wrong house as she was getting her make-up done.

“But my family welcomed them and they proceeded to exchange gifts,” she told Tribunnews.

Luckily, a member of the man’s group realised that they had entered the wrong house.

Ulfa shared that the man and his group apologised for the mistake before leaving the wrong location.

“They said they were led to the house by Google Maps,” Ulfa said.

According to the bride-to-be, her fiancé and his group were late to arrive at their ceremony because they had stopped to look for the toilet. Because of this, she hadn’t realised that there had been a mistake when the man’s group arrived at her house.

“I was shocked when I saw the man’s group as I did not know any of them,” Ulfa added.

The bride’s family was then able to help the man and his group to get the correct wedding.

We’re glad the man was able to make it to his wedding, even if he ended up taking a little detour first!
