Instagram Was Down Just Now And People Freaked Out

If you tried refreshing, loading or uploading anything onto Instagram in the past hour, but got an “5XX Server Error” message in return, you weren’t alone.

Instagram users weren’t able to access the photo-sharing service as both the app and website weren’t working. Thousands of reports were made across the UK, Europe and other parts of the world.

And what do people do when Instagram is down? They take their frustrations to Twitter, of course:

Instagram is down. Thousands of people wander the streets with crude sketches of sunsets screaming hashtags at strangers. People carry their breakfast with them and introduce it to everyone they meet. Chaos ensues. In the distance, sirens.

You don’t have to panic anymore though. Instagram is back on again although there's no official word yet on why it died earlier.
