It seems like all anyone is talking about these days, is the haze. And we don’t blame them.
Just like us, everyone is looking outside to see if the haze is better or worse as each day goes by.
One of the worst affected places of course has been Kuching, Sarawak.

The city’s Air Pollutant Index (API) reading breached way over the “very unhealthy” mark last week and left residents feeling all too smothered.
To help locals remember to take every precaution they can during this hazy season, the Kuching City South Council has dressed up their iconic cat statue with a gentle reminder.

The cat statue that’s located at Jalan Padungan has been dressed up with a mask across its face to remind residents to always wear a mask while out and about in this hazy weather.
The white cat was given a mask with “N95” stamped on it to not only caution people into a wearing, but to wearing the correct mask that helps to fend off the haze.
The banner being held by the iconic cat also states other measures the public can take to protect themselves.

We’re definitely on board for this purr-fect reminder!
But all cuteness aside, please remember to wear a mask if your going outside, drink lots of water and stay hydrated; and if you can, stay indoors!
Let us know what you think about Kuching’s cat reminder!
