Situation: You’re at a full stop at the traffic light and all of a sudden you see the car infront of you wind down their window and proceed to throw rubbish (sometimes a whole bag) out on the street to keep their car clean. Now imagine these drivers getting fined when they do that.
That’s right, littering of any form of rubbish out of your car will now get you up to a maximum of RM300 fine by the PDRM under Rule 52 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (LN 166/1959)!
PDRM recently posted on Facebook telling the public to not litter as it would not only pollute the environment, it’s also dangerous for drivers, motorcyclist, pedestrians and causes accidents too.
Drivers are advised to keep the trash in their cars before disposing it when you stop to rest…
…because if you only care about keeping your car clean but not the road, how selfish are you really?
Do you think the fine is fair for littering drivers on the road? Let us know you thoughts!
