Malaysia has always been known for its food, culture, diversity, beautiful locations and more.
Now, our beloved country is making waves again as we recently placed fourth on the World’s Best Places for Expats list!

InterNations, the world’s largest expat community that boasts around four million members, recently released their findings on the best destinations for expatriates to live and work in.
Based on the Expat Insider 2021 survey, Malaysia came in fourth out of 59 countries in the list of world’s best places for expats, ranking above the global average in every index.

In first place on the list is Taiwan, followed by Mexico, Costa Rica, Malaysia, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia, Ecuador, Canada, and Vietnam rounding off the top 10.
At the bottom of the list and regarded as the worst countries for expats to live and work in are Malta (50th), India (51st), Turkey (52nd), Cyprus (53rd), Japan (54th), Egypt (55th), Russia (56th), South Africa (57th), Italy (58th) and Kuwait (59th).
Malaysia also ranked second in the Ease of Settling In Index where 77% of expats shared that they found it easier to settle down in the country, make new friends and begin a new life.
92% of the expats surveyed noted that they found it easy to live in Malaysia despite not speaking the local language however 45% shared that Bahasa Malaysia is an easy language to learn.

On the Cost of Living Index, Malaysia placed exceedingly well as well, coming in second after Vietnam.
Malaysians all over the world know that Malaysia is truly a beautiful country to live in and now, others around the world know it too.
No matter where we go, Malaysia will always be the number one place for us to live in!
