We may have not sent a team to the World Cup, but Malaysians are making their presence felt in Russia.
Aside for the ball bearer for the Spain vs Russia match recently, who is actually a Form Two student from Klang, an eager football fan got into full Hari Raya spirit when he sported his Baju Melayu and attended the Brazil vs Mexico match!
Putra Tashrinudin Tajudin, who runs a publishing company said that he wanted to showcase the national costume to the world. Apparently, many non-Malaysians came to say hi to me and asked about the costume he was wearing. Besides his Baju Melayu, Putra brought along the flags of Malaysia and Perak, his home state.
How patriotic!
