An 18 year-old Malaysian boy went on quite an adventure for 10 days after he was reported missing. He was said to have been unable to find his way back to his friend’s apartment, after getting himself lunch.
The teen, who was there in search of jobs, said that he spent his days on the streets, walking everyday to find his friend’s apartment to no avail but never dared to approach any Singaporeans because he was shy.
He used the toilets in cafes and shopping malls and used the only SGD50 (approximately RM152) he had on food.
When the money was all used up by the 8th day, he forced himself to beg from strangers. If only he forced himself to ask for help, instead!
But thank God a member of the public came to the rescue some time later on Haig Road, Singapore by asking if he was the missing boy.
He has since returned to Malaysia after the traumatizing experience and has given up on job search at the moment. Looks like Singapore will always be an ‘adventure’ he’ll never forget!
