As with any festival in Malaysia, Eidul Fitr is a chance to dress up and show off your most fashionable looks while enjoying awesome food!

Now, Eidul Fitr is only two months away and people are already starting to think about what styles they should wear this year. (It takes a lot of planning, OK)

Malaysian fashion designer Azzim Aziz recently launched his newest hijab line just in time for the festivities. And it’s called the Bawal Pocong. Yes, we’re for reals

If the name of the hijab line is not surprising enough, the line went viral and despite only being launched earlier this month, is already sold out!

According to Azzim, he didn’t intend for the style to resemble the pocong. “We decided to tie the ends of the bawal scarf as a topknot to try something different but after the photoshoot only did we see the resemblance and decided to call it Bawal Pocong,”

The scarf isn’t just popular among Malaysians, apparently Indonesians have picked it up as well. The scarf has been featured on news sites such as detik.com, IDN Times and Wolipop.

The scarf comes in 7 different colours. But by combining the scarf’s design with horror-inspired make-up in the promo posts on Instagram, Azzim Aziz made the bawal pocong look pretty horrifying. Especially the white one! Would you wear this for hari raya?
