Imagine having a name so long you have to fill in 2 forms just because your name doesn’t fit in the given space. Well, that’s what this Malaysian medical student once had to go through. In fact, she also has 2 ICs because 1 simply isn’t enough!
Sharifah Nur’Insyirah Saifuddin Shah holds one MyKad and a ‘name confirmation’ card. Her MyKad has only her first two names while the ‘name confirmation’ card carries her full name.
Interestingly, she was also once held up at the immigration while travelling abroad to study because of her dual ICs and unique name. Regardless, she’s proud of it and wouldn’t change it for the world.
