Snakes. Love them or hate them, this snake will put a smile on your face!

Just like it has on its body. Smiley face emojis to be exact.

Justin Kobylka has been breeding snakes for over 20 years and he ended up with a happy accident when he accidentally bred a ball phython that had the shape of three smiley face emojis on its body.

According to the breeder, he was trying to achieve a specific colour pattern but instead, the lavender albino piebald ball python’s markings ended up looking like three smiley face emojis.

The snake breeder shared that he estimated about one in 20 of the snakes he bred for the colour combination would end up having a smiley face, but this ball python is the only one that ended up have three smiley faces on its scales.

A snake’s unique pattern can occur naturally due to recessive gene mutations. However, Justin’s smiley face snake is unlikely to be found in nature.

Justin also shared that the snake was born after about eight years of working to breed pythons for the colour combination.

In the end, Justin ended up with his own smiley face as the unique “emoji ball python” was sold for $6,000 (RM24,675) – more than sixty times the price of a typical ball python.
