While sleeping one night, the 24-year-old man, identified as Lv, felt a “sharp pain” in his right ear, The Mirror reported.
Upon inspection with a torchlight by his family members, they were shocked to discover a large cockroach in his ear!
Lv then headed to Sanhe Hospital in Huiyang, China to get help.
Ean, nose and throat (ENT) specialist, Zhong Yijin, inspected the problem further and was surprised to find more than 10 cockroach babies inside the man’s ear!!
“They were already running around, ” the doctor said.

The specialist then removed all the cockroaches in the man’s year, including its larger mother.
Lv sustained minor injuries to his right ear canal following the extraction procedure but was able to be discharged on the same day with prescribed ointment for his ear.
According to the report, the newly-hatched insects were of the German cockroach species Blattella germanica.

Those who attended to the 24-year-old informed local news outlet that Lv had attracted the cockroaches because of his habit of leaving unfinished food packets near his bed.
They advised others to be aware of their household’s hygiene to prevent the spread of cockroaches.
Disinfecting drains and sewers, and installing mosquito nets and screens and windows can stop insects (not just cockroaches) from “flying or crawling into your noses and ears.”
We can’t stand the thought of this happening to us!
Be sure to not keep any open packets of food near you when you’re sleeping and always be aware of your house’s hygiene!
Share this with a friend that hates cockroaches!
