Matrix fans, we know you’ve been waiting for years for the follow up to the franchise and unfortunately, the wait has just gotten a little longer…
According to recent reports, the release date for Matrix 4 has been pushed back a full year to 1st April 2022.

Due to the current state of the world with the COVID-19 pandemic, production on the highly anticipated movie has been put on hold.
Production on the movie has been on pause since mid-March and it’s expected to resume in early July, however there has been no confirmation on this just yet.

Matrix 4 was original expected to hit the big screens on 21st May 2021, the same day Keanu Reeves’ John Wick 4 was supposed to be aired as well.
Fans had dubbed this day Keanu Reeves Day but unfortunately, that day is no longer as the movie will be premiering on different days.

News of the Matrix 4’s delay comes after reports that a few other movies’ release dates have been pushed back as well.
Wonder Woman 1984 original 14th August premiere date has now been moved to 2nd October 2020. Christopher Nolan’s TENET will now screen on 31st July instead of 17th July 2020 and Godzilla vs. Kong will now premiere on 21st May 2021 instead of 20th November 2020.
So fans, be sure to take note of these dates and in the meantime, we’ll be here eagerly waiting for cinemas to be open once again!
