There was a bit of a nasi lemak craze last year, which started with the nasi lemak burger. Then there were the nasi lemak cake, nasi lemak ice cream, nasi lemak dress… you get it. And it looks like the nasi lemak fever is far from over!
A curry puff chain in Singapore has recently introduced their newest product: the nasi lemak curry puff!

Enfolded in a green flaky crust (made with pandan essence and green colouring) are chicken, anchovies, peanuts, a wedge of boiled egg and sambal!
The nasi lemak curry puff doesn’t actually have any nasi or lemak though. It’s pretty weird to have rice inside a curry puff, right? It’s a curry puff, not a burrito.
Unfortunately, the curry puff, called Nasi Lemak Chicken ‘O, is only a promotional item (sad!) and only available in Singapore (sadder!). So, you’ll need to make a trip across the Causeway soon to get your fix while stocks last!
