We can all agree that cats are extremely adorable pets, but many people also believe that black cats are bad omen, so they avoid keeping them.

However, following the release of Black Panther and its international success, a Tumblr user posted that the adoption rate for black cats at the local shelter increased and that more people have been adopting black cats!
Many of the cats are also named after characters from the movie with T’challa being the most popular as well as Okoye and Shuri. Killmonger, too, of course!
