As we all know, the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) is now in full effect in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya.
These measures have been put into place to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to protect our safety and those around us.
However, there are still those around who are trying to get past the CMCO, especially to cross state lines.

Gombak district police chief ACP Arifai Tarawe, is reminding those who are applying for inter-state travel, to not give “lame excuses” for their purpose of travel and to do so only with genuine urgent need.
In the four days since the CMCO was enforced, the police chief noted that a total of 1,587 applications for inter-state travel were received, and 1,555 applications were approved from that number.
“Most of the applications to cross the state border are for medical, death and emergency cases,” he said. “Those that were rejected gave lame excuses, such as for travel and holiday, to attend wedding reception or send children back to home town for no reason.”

Last week, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob shared that application forms for movement permits in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, can be obtained from your nearest police station or downloaded from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM)’s official Facebook page.
The form must then be completed and submitted to the nearest police station and must be signed by the station chief and stamped for use during roadblocks.

We know it’s hard to be back under another CMCO but for now, we must all do our parts to help curb the spread of COVID-19.
Please only travel inter-state if it’s an absolute emergency and be sure you’ve got a real reason to travel.
Be sure to be responsible by staying safe and staying home to help #FlattenTheCurve!
