In this technological day and age, most us have power banks to help give our phones that boost of energy when we’re out and about.

But with great power (literally) comes great caution. There have been a few reports from around the world about power banks exploding, and now, a power bank is believed to have exploded in a car in Kelantan and caused considerable damage to the vehicle.

The Facebook post shared that the incident had taken place at Tumpat Hospital’s parking lot in Kelantan.

“A Perodua Alza caught on fire when a power bank that was kept in the passenger seat’s storage compartment, exploded due to the hot weather and being parked in one place for too long,” the post read.

Luckily, no one was in the car at the time and no one was hurt in the incident.

This is definitely a reminder to all of us to be careful with our power banks! Don’t leave them in your car or any other place that could cause it to overheat!

Always be sure that you are safe while using any devices, especially ones that require power/charging.

Share this with your friends and family so that they don’t leave their power banks around either!
