This doggo’s ears many not hang low but its one ear does wobble to and fro in the happiest way and we’re loving her even more!
Rae the golden retriever puppy, only has one ear in the middle of her head but she’s not letting that stop her from living her life as an social media star!
Rae’s internet fame came shortly after her owner, Brianna Vorhees set up an account for her and in less than three weeks, she gained over 180,000 Instagram followers just by being her adorable self!
Her bio reads, “I’m a one-eared golden retriever! Accidental injury at birth left me with only my right ear. As I grew, it migrated to the top of my head.”
Unfortunately for Rae, her ears became damaged when she was born and one had to be removed. Instead of just one ear flopping at the side, the doggo was left with an ear that now sits on top of her head, just like a unicorn’s horn.
Brianna was the receptionist of the vet’s surgery that carried out Rae’s ear-removal surgery and she was immediately drawn to the one-eared pup. Despite knowing that Rae would require 24-hour care after her operation, Brianna took her home into her family.
And what’s best? Brianna gave the unique puppy a name that suits her to a “T”.
Rae is ear spelled backwards! So cute!!
“Rae has the most unique personality,” Brianna said. “She’s very confident, playful, very quirky and curious, and it’s just like any other regular puppy.”
“She has no idea that she is different and leads a very normal life,” she added. “She has been a blessing to me, and it has been my pleasure to raise her.”
Urgh! Our hearts can’t take how adorable Rae is! She’ll forever be our golden unicorn!
