Remember the days when our parents used to tell us not to play games too much? Well, they’re pretty much still saying the same things lah, but with the emergence of e-sports and the amount of coverage they’ve been getting, at least they now know that playing games can be rewarding!
We’re not just talking about rewards in terms of personal enjoyment and a way of kicking back and relaxing after a long day either.

What we’re talking about is winning yourself cash prizes of up to RM5,000 and a trip for 2 people to Russia if you’re crowned champion at the Rah Rah Russia E-sports Tournament happening from 14 April to 12 May 2018.
All you gotta do is show that you’re the best at playing FIFA 18 and beat your opponents to be the champion!
The tournament will be held in 2 stages: a round robin group stage where 256 players will be divided into 64 groups of 4 players each, and then a best-of-3 single elimination knockout stage. Regional qualifiers will be held in 4 states in Malaysia, details below:
- Penang – Sunway Carnival Mall (2 finalists): 14th to 15th April 2018
- Melaka – Dataran Pahlawan Merdeka Megamall (2 finalists): 28th to 29th April 2018
- Pahang – Kuantan City Mall (2 finalists): 5th to 6th May 2018
- Selangor – Sunway Pyramid (6 finalists): 11th to 12th May 2018
Registration is compulsory and must be completed online at www.RRRussia.com.my.
Now, we know you guys are dying to know more about the prizes, let us assure you that they’re awesome, but before we get to that, there are just 2 rules to keep in mind (2 rules only! Not very hard to remember):
- Players are only allowed to use countries participating in this year’s tournament held in Russia for all games.
- Players aren’t allowed to use the same team twice or use the same team as their opponent (coin toss will be used to determine which player gets to use their team of choice) during the knockout stage.
Finally, the part you’ve all been waiting for: the prizes! The Grand Finals champion will walk away with a trip for 2 to Russia plus RM5,000 cash prize while the player in second place will receive RM3,000 in cash. Third and fourth places will each receive RM1,000 in cash.
