Some of us have had to make the dreaded trip to the optician because our eyes just don’t have 20:20 vision.

If you’re one of the many who have not been blessed with perfect vision, you’ll know that getting your first pair of glasses can be extremely daunting.

One rescue cat however has been hired to make that scary trip at little less scary.

Back to work Monday! Ready to serve!

Truffles the cat was adopted back in 2016 by Danielle Crull who own’s an optician called “A Child’s Eyes” in Mechanicburg, Pennsylvania, USA.

When the rescue cat was adopted, her owner not only gave her a forever home but she also gave the cat an important job at the optician, to make children feel more comfortable when getting glasses.

“Truffles is a champion for vision, an encourager to children,” her official Facebook page writes. “Truffles wears glasses to help children everywhere feel more comfortable in theirs.”

Anyone else have quarantine hair/fur? It’s out of control!

The rescue cat actually has her own range of frames!

Danielle has trained Truffles to wear 20 different pairs of glasses without lenses, a pair of sunglasses with lenses and even a pair of glasses with an eye patch so she can help children get over their insecurities.

What do you guys think of my new gold glasses? And my ear tuffs and my magnificent whiskers? I don’t mean to show off, but new glasses always make you feel good about yourself.

According to the optician, many kids are diagnosed with amblyopia which is often known as a lazy eye. To treat this, they are required to wear an eyepatch.

“One of the best reminders for those that face hard times and struggles is to know you are not alone,” the Facebook page reads. “Kids who patch their eyes to treat amblyopia and other vision disorders need to know this one simple thing… they are not alone.”

“When a child wears an eye patch, it can be uncomfortable, they suffer decreased vision and they often feel all alone in their struggle,” the page added. “That’s why support groups for families with amblyopia are so important. When a child sees another child patching, or maybe a kitty like me, they know they can do it too!”

One of the best reminders for those that face hard times and struggles is to know you are not alone. Kids who patch...
