With the RMCO in place, many restaurants have opened their doors once again for customers to dine in.
And according to Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, these restaurants and eateries have no fixed number of people allowed to seat at every table, however, social distancing measures must remain in place.

During the Senior Minister’s press conference on COVID-19 updates today, he was asked if the standard operating procedure (SOP) that a maximum of four people were allowed to sit at any one table in eateries, also applied to bigger tables.
“As long as there is social distancing, it is possible,” the Senior Minister responded. “If a long table can fit 10 people, then 10 people are allowed. The issue is social distancing.”
“If there’s a big table that can fit 10 people, it doesn’t make sense for (only) two people to sit there. There are no restrictions on this,” he added.

So if you’re planning to go out to a restaurant with a big group, be sure that they’ve got a big enough table that follows all the SOPs at the same time!
Share this with your friends and family so they know the SOPs too!
