Not having a good and strong internet connection, in this day and age, can prove to be very troublesome, especially for students who have to take online classes and examinations.

Recently, a Sabahan student from University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) shared a video that documented her experience of spending 24 hours on top of a tree to access the internet for her online exams.
Due to poor internet connection in her own home, Veveonah Mosibin noted that the best place to get a strong internet connection was atop a tree near her home.

The foundation student at UMS started a YouTube channel during the Movement Control Order and she used the platform to share what her life in a rural area is like with videos like opening coconuts without any tools and building a traditional underground water well.
In her latest video, Vevenoah challenged herself to stay on top of a tree, where the internet signal was strongest, for 24 hours to complete her online exams.
Initially, the student did not intend to spend the night on top of the tree. She had actually built a hut on a hill especially for her exams, but unfortunately she found that the hut had collapsed and been destroyed by strong winds and rain.

She quickly thought of another idea as her exams were approaching and decided to climb the tree and challenged herself to stay up there for 24 hours.
And Veveonah’s overnight experience was definitely something we couldn’t tear our eyes away from!
Besides sitting for her Chemistry and Pengajian Am exams, the university student set up her mosquito net tent, had meals of plain rice dumplings and even battled a hornet!

She ended up staying the night but noted that she couldn’t sleep well due to all the animal and strange noises around her.
The next day, Veveonah made her way home to a disgruntled mother who questioned her on her whereabouts (even though she had already told her about her sleepover) but still made sure she had a good breakfast before her next exam.
It’s definitely inspiring to see Veveonah overcoming challenges just to keep up with her education! That’s dedication!
